in my opinion, overall, for this unit, I believe I did very well and gained a good understanding of the aspects of the different styles of music I created. I think that if I had more time, I could have been able to show off my skills more effectively, but I do feel that I did very well for the time that I did have on the unit in college. I think I did well in this unit as I was able to use my music theory knowledge and instrumentation knowledge in the creation process for each of my tracks, I also used my time effectively to write all of the portfolio work within the college, however, I feel that my motivation was hindered due to not being able to work as well when I was at home because of my disability, as typing takes considerably longer when I do not have the support that Confetti offers. 

  

Throughout the duration of the unit, I learned how to make different types of music genres, I also learned different areas of music which I feel enabled me to level up my knowledge and skills. I learned about the different aspects and characteristics of different music genres, as well as instrumentation and theory. I learned how to use music theory to help make my tracks easier to create; such as how to layout my chords, create harmonies and melodies, as well as how to create better bass patterns, and better techniques that have improved my drum pattern generation and fills. 

  

I believe the skills I have developed over this unit I would definitely say that my music theory knowledge has developed to an intermediate level now. Also, I feel that my drum creation techniques have improved, as well as my mixing and mastering techniques; I feel more comfortable using effects such as compressors, EQ, reverb, and delay. 

  

From this unit my favorite workshop was the Grime workshop; this was my favorite because I learned a lot of new techniques, as grime is a genre, I had not had much experience with. This enabled me to develop a new creative process that I could apply across any and all of my future productions. 

  

The workshop I struggled with the most from this unit was the 1950s Rock N Roll. I struggled with this workshop as it was the first time, I had attempted to create a rock and roll track and the first time I had ventured out of my comfort zone in terms of production. 

  

The skills I need to continue to develop would be my music theory knowledge, because this will allow me to create my music in a more advanced way and more efficiently. I also think that I would benefit from developing my mixing and mastering skills, as it will make my productions sound more professional, cohesive, and advanced. I feel that I could also benefit from developing my DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) skills within Logic so that I can utilize all of the functions Logic has to offer, as well as make my creative process a bit easier, instead of having to learn as I go along during my production creation.
